PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generating device capable of increasing the power generating efficiency of a linear blade vertical shaft water turbine. SOLUTION: This power generating device comprises the linear blade vertical shaft water turbine 10, a generator 20 generating power by receiving the rotation of a shaft 11, a support frame 30 projecting from the side of a river, bearing the water turbine 10, and supporting the generator 20 and the water turbine by the supporting oar 50 installed on the support frame, and an anchor 40 installed on the opposite side of the support frame 30 serving as a fixed body fixed to the ground and a pivot body 41.
