PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil amount detection device capable of accurately measuring the amount of a lubricating oil while an internal combustion engine is operating. SOLUTION: A lubricating oil tank for storing the lubricating oil is mounted at the lower part of the internal combustion engine. The lubricating oil amount detection device 30 detects the amount of the lubricating oil in the lubricating oil tank with an oil level gauge 31. An indication part by an indication body is formed at one end of the oil level gauge 31, and the oil level gauge is disposed on the outside of the lubricating oil tank. The other end of the indication body contained in the oil level gauge 31 is connected to a float 33 disposed in the lubricating oil tank. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
