PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress erroneous measurement of walk in occurrence of body movement excepting for walk and in the case of getting on a vehicle. SOLUTION: A transmitter 2 transmits a heart rate signal detected by a heart rate detection part 23 wirelessly to a receiver 1. A CPU 11 calculates a heart rate based on the heart rate signal received from the transmitter 2 through a receiving part 20 and a reception controller 21. When the heart rate is varied by a prescribed value or more, the CPU 11 judges that a person to be measured starts walking, supplies power to a walk detection part 15 and a walk signal amplification part 16, starts measurement of the number of steps based on a walk signal input through the walk detection part 15 and the walk signal amplification part 16, and displays the measured number of steps and the heart rates on a display part 17.
