RHEOPEXY GELS AS VEHICLES

The invention relates to rheopexy compositions in gel form and use thereof as vehicles, in particularly, for oxidative dyes. The gel compositions comprise: water, 6.0 to 15 wt. % of at least one saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched alcohol with 8 to 36 C atoms, 0.1 to 15 wt. % of at least one liquid fatty acid with 6 to 22 C atoms in the form of a water-soluble soap, 0.5 to 10 wt. % of at least one addition product from1 to 5 moles of ethylene oxide to a linear fatty alcohol with 8 to 22 C atoms, 0.5 to 10 wt. % of at least one ester oil selected from (i) C₁ to C₁₀ alkyl(C₈ to C₃₀)alkanoates, the hydrocarbon groups of which can be linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated and/or (ii) C₈ to C_{30 alkyl} (C₁ to C₁₀)alkanoates, the hydrocarbon groups of which can be linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated. The gels are characterised by excellent application properties and an improved storage stability.
