The present invention relates to a method for producing an interactive virtual movie, which simulates the walking within a real site, which comprises: (a) providing a scanning apparatus which comprises a camera, measuring the displacement of the apparatus and the change of the camera field of view direction,- (b) capturing of a new photograph when (i) either the apparatus moves by a distance D; (11) or changes orientation; or (in) the camera changes orientation,- (e) forming open chains comprising those photographs captured during a common route, each open chain having a first and last photograph; (f) forming closed chains comprising those photographs captured during a common junction photographing; (g) for each first and last photographs of open chains adjacent to a junction, finding, among the closed chain photographs of the junction, a corresponding similar photograph with highest correlation or the closest field of view direction, and connecting them. |
