METHOD OF PURIFYING SEMICONDUCTING CABON NANOTUBES AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THE SAME

A method for purifying semiconductive carbon nanotubes is provided to obtain high-purity semiconductive carbon nanotubes via a simple physical purification process using an electromagnetic force in an industrially applicable scale. A method for purifying semiconductive carbon nanotubes comprises the steps of: dispersing(S100) carbon nanotubes by using a dispersion solution contained in a vessel; applying(S110) an electric field and a magnetic field to the carbon nanotubes dispersed in the vessel in the direction substantially perpendicular to each other to cause metallic carbon nanotubes in the carbon nanotubes to move to one side of the vessel by the electromagnetic force formed in one direction by the electric and magnetic fields; and collecting(S130) semiconductive carbon nanotubes remaining on the other side of the vessel.
