PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television chat system capable of responding to diversified needs of users utilizing the television chat service.

SOLUTION: The television chat system comprises a personal computer 110 and a server 120. The personal computer 110 performs a television chat between a user X1 and other users. The user X1 and other users have recorded the same television program. The server 120 provides a television chat service for the user X1 performing the television chat among the other users, according to the television program recorded by the user X1. In addition, the server 120 provides the television chat service, according to permission performed using a user personal information inputted by the user X1.
