<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user himself (or herself) to specify a delivery method of mail to the user. <P>SOLUTION: A management server has a storage part for relatively storing information concerned with a user which includes the name and e-mail address of the user and mail information concerned with the mail to the user. A client of a post office has a means for reading the storage part of the management server through the Internet, a means for registering the mail information concerned with the mail to the user in the storage part of the management server and a means for notifying the mail information concerned with the mail to the user to the e-mail address.
