PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize cleaning equipment capable of removing a developer from a brush member with high-efficiency and applying a lubricant stably. SOLUTION: The cleaning unit 7 applies the lubricant to a toner-adhering photoreceptor 1 and is equipped with a lubricant holding member 17 which holds the solid lubricant 13, a brush roller 12 which chips off the solid lubricant 13 and applies the solid lubricant to the surface of the photoreceptor 1, and flickers 16a/16b which remove the toner sticking to the brush roller 12. A noticing point with the cleaning unit 7 is that the one brush roller 12 is provided with the two flickers 16a/16b. Thereby, the chance for toner ejection is increased and the removal of the toner from the brush roller 12 with high efficiency is made possible, and the stable application of the lubricant to the surface of the photoreceptor 1 is made possible.
