PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter ring and a waterproof case which can certainly prevent the occurrence of a flare or a ghost. SOLUTION: A Digital camera 2 includes a camera body 3 and a lens barrel 4. An adapter ring 20 is attached to the camera body 3 with freely attaching/detaching. The adapter ring 20 includes with a holding cylinder 21, a mask 22 and a coil spring 23. The mask 22 is held inside the holding cylinder 21 with freely moving in a photographing optical axis direction. The coil spring 23 presses the mask 22 toward a direction of coming into contact with a front face of the lens barrel 4. A conversion lens 27 is attached to a front face of the adapter ring 20 with freely attaching/detaching. When the lens barrel 4 protrudes till a photographing position, a front face of a 1st cylinder part 4a of the lens barrel 4 comes into contact with a contacting part 22c of the mask 22. Even when the lens barrel 4 is moved in back and forth directions, the front face of the 1st cylinder part 4a always comes into contact with the contacting part 22c of the mask 22 by pressing of the coil spring 23.
