PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring light capable of forming a surface light source. SOLUTION: The ring light 1 includes an annular base plate 2, LEDs 3a on an outer periphery side and LEDs 3b on an inner periphery side which are respectively doubly arranged zigzag at predetermined intervals on one surface of the base plate 2, and an annular diffusion plate 4 diffusing light radiated from the respective LEDs 3 (3a and 3b). The diffusion plate 4 is installed to be inclined so that its distance from one surface of the base plate 2 may be longer on the LED 3a side than on the LED 3b side over a first superposed area being an area where light beams radiated from the adjacent LEDs 3a are superposed, and a second superposed area being an area where light beams radiated from the adjacent LEDs 3b are superposed. The base plate 2 has an inner periphery to which a wide lens for photography can be connected, and a heat sink 6 is formed on the other surface of the base plate 2 so as to discharge heat generated by the light emission of the LED 3.
