PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and accurately control an actuator and an optical member even when performing long-time photography without giving an uncomfortable feeling to a photographer. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus has a display means 117 displaying a picture, and a control means 119 holding the display of a taken picture on the display means in a predetermined holding period when the taken picture is recorded.
