PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation blocking sheet satisfactorily excellent in radiation blocking performance without use of lead and satisfactorily suitable for processing it into a sheet having a large primary surface area and handling the sheet. SOLUTION: The sheet used for blocking radiation includes barium sulfate and a thermoplastic resin and/or a thermoplastic elastomer as a binder for barium sulfate, and includes 75 mass% or more of barium sulfate. The sheet has a Shore A hardness of not higher than 95, a density of not lower than 2.5 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and a tensile elongation at break of not smaller than 20%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
