PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein it is difficult to obtain enough strength, because wood fibers are broken by drilling holes in a wood plate with a drill, an NC or another machine, the material is limited to broadleaf trees, the touch of wood is often lost by a coating such as a urethane coat for hardening and the shape is monotonous and the appearance is unaesthetic, because of mechanical processing of wood plates. SOLUTION: The processing is made on the peripheral part after removing branches in the inside of the knot holes of dead knots. Use of chopping process allows processing without breaking the fibers and secures sufficient strength maintaining beautiful curves of the grains around the knots. Shapes of more of relief and aesthetic appearance are obtained, because knot holes of naturally occurring dead knots are utilized and the manufacturing is made directly from woods of various forms including squared lumbers and logs. Exempt from the problem of strength, it becomes possible to manufacture ring-like members form conifers.
