PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical wood processing method which reduces the number of components and a working man-hours and facilitates work itself even when a light transmitting part is formed in a part of a product using wood and a compressed-wood product. SOLUTION: A metal cavity insert 71 corresponding to the shape of processed wood is inserted into the gap between adjacent wood pieces 41 and 42, and the wood pieces 41 and 42 are laminated in the wall thickness direction. The laminated wood pieces 41 and 42 are held by a pair of molds 51 and 61 to apply compressive force to them. A part the compressibility in the wall thickness direction of which is at least 0.75 is included in each wood piece, and the wall thickness of the part is smaller than the other parts.
