<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve satisfactory accelerating performance in a hybrid car. <P>SOLUTION: A controller for a vehicle is provided with: an engine 100; a motor generator 500 for assisting the engine 100; and a fluid coupling 200 for transmitting a driving power inputted from the engine and the motor to an automatic transmission 300. The controller also includes an ECT_ECU 400 for setting the level of the assist of the driving power by the motor generator 500 so as to correspond to the rate of the input number of revolutions and the output number of revolutions in the fluid coupling, and to a gear ratio in the start, and for adjusting the level of the assist of the driving force by the motor generator 500 so as to correspond to the level of acceleration and the start gear ratio required for the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
