<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a very high-density optical recording medium that has excellent jitter properties and good recording and reproducing properties. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium 20 comprises a substrate 21 having guide grooves, a layer 23 consisting essentially of Ag and having a light reflective function, a recording layer 22 containing as a main component a coloring matter having the function of absorbing light at a recording reproducing light wavelength in an unrecorded state, and a cover layer 24 capable of transmitting recording and reproducing light made incident in the recording layer 22, in this order. An intermediate layer 30 containing at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ta, Nb, V, W, Mo, Cr, and Ti is provided between the layer 23 consisting essentially of Ag and having the light reflective function and the recording layer 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
