<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease blur in moving images by a small circuit scale for a small liquid crystal device while suppressing decrease in luminance or contrast and increase in the electric power required for light emission. <P>SOLUTION: One frame period is divided into a plurality of field periods so as to set a plurality of kinds of gradation voltage groups according to the field periods.
