<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which does not cause lift or peel even when stored for a long term under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions (110 or 70°C/95% RH) after being subjected to crosslinking, to provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, to provide an optical member coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive, and to provide an image display device using the member. <P>SOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprises 100 pts.wt. (meth)acrylic polymer comprising 30 to 98 wt.% (meth)acrylic monomer and 0.1 to 30 wt.% other polymerizable monomers, 0.02 to 5 pts.wt. crosslinking agent, and 0.001 to 5 pts.wt. imidazole silane compound represented by formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are each an alkyl group; n is an integer of 1 to 20; a is an integer of 1 to 3; b is an integer of 1 to 3; and c is 0 or 1, provided that a+b+c=4). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
