PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid filling apparatus having no bubbles nor foreign matter mixed in a filled liquid and having a high filling efficiency without causing a waste discharge ink, and to provide a liquid filling method, a liquid droplet discharge head and an image forming apparatus equipped with the liquid droplet discharge head. SOLUTION: The liquid filling apparatus, which fills a liquid into a liquid droplet discharge head having a discharge port discharging a liquid and a supply port into which a liquid is injected, is equipped with a liquid droplet discharge head fitting means which has a rotary shaft and a support body movably connected to a connection part in the rotary shaft and wherein the liquid droplet discharge head is fitted to the support body with the discharge port directed to the direction opposite to the connection part, a liquid droplet discharge head revolving means for revolving the liquid droplet discharge head centering around the rotary shaft, a support body moving means for moving the support body until the direction of the discharge port of the liquid droplet discharge head becomes substantially vertical relative to the rotary shaft, a liquid injection means for injecting the liquid into the supply port, an injection stop means, and a revolving stop means.
