PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finely crush a sanitary article. SOLUTION: A crushing means 70 provided at the inside of a treatment box body 60 has a first and a second rotation blade members 70A, 70B engaged with each other. Each of the rotation blade members is constituted by a plurality of rotation blades 74, 76 provided coaxially with a predetermined clearance. The sanitary article is thrown from a throwing port 60a of the treatment box body. By scraping the thrown sanitary article between the rotation blade members 70A, 70B, the sanitary article is crushed by the plurality of rotation blades. When a cross cut blade is used as the rotation blade, the sanitary article is crushed in the state that it is finely cut by the rotation blade. The crushed sanitary article is dropped off to a lower side of the rotation blade member. During the crushing treatment or after the crushing treatment, by flowing-in an appropriate amount of washing water (washing water) from the throwing port side, the crushed sanitary article is discharged from a discharge port 60b to a sewage pipe side with the washing water.
