PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a manufacturing process of a capacitor, improve reliability, and increase withstand voltage of the capacitor by forming an anode having a coating layer serving as a good dielectric layer, and improving the anode of a solid electrolytic capacitor and its formation method. SOLUTION: In the anode having the coating layer formed on a metallic surface, the coating layer is made of a hydroxide expressed by formula (1), a hydroxide expressed by formula (2), or their composite substance.
