PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rendering device etc. for computer graphics to efficiently draw subdivision surface. SOLUTION: This invention is based on knowledge that subdivision surface can be drawn efficiently, basically by weighting division depth, as compared with that the traditional subdivision surface method sets division depth uniformly to all the meshes (polygons). For example, since the part which a user cannot see will not need to express a smooth surface, the part is not necessary to perform subdivision. Since how from the user to see a surface nearly perpendicularly to user's gaze does not change so much, if being performed subdivision, the frequency performing subdivision of the surface may be few. Thus the desired frequency in which subdivision is performed is not uniform, for example it changes based on user's point of view. Accordingly, since basically the regions necessary responding to the user's gaze among the polygons are performed, much subdivision and degree of subdivision, can be changed, curved surfaces that are more real than the past can be drawn in a short time, as compared with past.
