PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel in which occurrence of an image remaining after interruption of power supply is prevented. SOLUTION: A signal is generated with a signal generating means 22 when a voltage drop on interruption of the power supply is detected with a voltage drop detecting means 20. A common electrode, a storage capacitor, and a signal line are respectively made to be at the same electric potential by an initializing means 23 based on the signal, and at the same time, electric charges of the common electrode and the storage capacitor are compulsorily discharged to the ground with a discharge means 24. The occurrence of the image remaining after interruption of the power supply is prevented because the electric charges held by a liquid crystal capacitor and the storage capacitor of each pixel are certainly discharged without producing an electric potential difference between the common electrode and the storage capacitor and the signal line.
