PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately predict pattern impact noise as a main factor of the noise from a tire. SOLUTION: In this method of simulating pattern impact noise of a pneumatic tire having a tread pattern provided with a plurality of main grooves 12 extended in the tire circumferential direction and block lines 18 separated into a plurality of sections by the main grooves and formed by arranging blocks 16, which are divided by auxiliary grooves 14 crossing the main grooves, along the tire circumferential direction, grounding shape in relation to the road surface is obtained, and capacity fluctuation data in the tire circumferential direction is obtained per each of the block lines by using the grounding shape, face velocity of a contact surface element in the block corresponding to the grounding end in each of the block lines when rolling is computed by frequency analysis of the capacity fluctuation data, and the face velocity is given to the grounding end element 34 of the block corresponding to the grounding end in a boundary element (BEM) model so as to perform BEM analysis.
