PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a motor with a helical pinion as a motor of an orthogonal geared motor. SOLUTION: The geared motor includes: the motor M having the helical pinion 22 formed at the tip end of a motor shaft 20; a coupling shaft (shaft member) 24 having an inner helical part (engagement part) 26 integrally rotatable with the helical pinion 22 on one end, and a bevel pinion 28 formed on the other end; and a bevel gear 30 in mesh with the bevel pinion 28. The coupling shaft 24 is supported by a pair of bearings 46, 48 sandwiching a step part (protrusion) 24T protrudingly disposed in the axial direction, and is positioned via the bearings 46, 48 in either directions of the axial direction.
