摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake air amount estimating device of an internal combustion engine in which a model expression is properly corrected even while an internal combustion engine is performing a transient operation. SOLUTION: This intake air amount estimating device of the internal combustion engine calculates a cylinder charging air amount Mc by using the estimated value mc of a cylinder intake air flow which is calculated by using an intake valve model expression with an intake pipe internal pressure Pm. The intake air amount estimating device comprises an intake pipe internal pressure estimating means for calculating the estimated value of the intake pipe internal pressure by using the intake pipe model expression with a cylinder intake air flow, an intake pipe internal pressure detection means for detecting the actual intake pipe internal pressure, and a correction means for correcting the intake valve model expression based on the estimated value of the intake pipe internal pressure and the actual intake pipe internal pressure. The map value determined for each engine operating range is used in the intake valve model expression. The correction means corrects the map value, based on the deviation between the actual intake pipe internal pressures obtained when the engine operating state comes into and out of a specified engine operating range and the deviation between the estimated values of the intake pipe internal pressure.
