PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable fluid compressor, formed in a thin type and well-balancing the weight of the whole to be carried by one hand. SOLUTION: A compressor body 8, a tank 12 and a control device 16 are held in a hanging state by a grip 6, and housed vertically in a casing 2, whereby the portable air compressor 1 can be formed in a thin type. Further, the compressor body 8 and the control device 16 are disposed so that the center of gravity G1 of the compressor body 8 and the center of gravity G3 of the control device 16 are on the opposite sides in the lateral direction with the center C of the grip 6 interposed between them. Thus, while the center of gravity G1 of the compressor body 8 is biased to the compressing part 9 side, the biased weight balance is canceled by the weight of the control device 16. Accordingly, the grip 6 is held by one hand to hang down and carry the air compressor 1 in a favorable balanced state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
