Producing a multilayer structural part comprising foam with a cover by placing the cover in the cavity of a mold having upper and lower dies and injecting a foamable fiber-containing resin mixture into the cavity comprises holding the cover against the upper die by applying a vacuum between the die and the cover while injecting the foamable mixture onto or through the lower die. An independent claim is also included for a foam molding tool comprising upper and lower dies forming a mold cavity, where the upper die has openings for applying a vacuum.
