RF REPEATER FOR PROVIDING FREQUENCY CONVERTING FUNCTION FOR WIBRO SYSTEM

An RF repeater having a frequency conversion function and a portable Internet system using the same are provided to secure a sufficient isolation and prevent an oscillation state by using respectively different frequencies in a donor antenna and a service antenna. An RF repeater having a frequency conversion function comprises a donor antenna to transmit and receive signals with a RAS(Radio Access Subsystem) and a service antenna to transmit and receive signals with PSSs(Portable Subscriber Stations). The RF repeater consists of a donor BPF(210), a service BPF(212), the first and second circulators(220,222), the first and second limiters(230,232), the first and second LNAs(240,242), the first and second frequency converters(250,252), and the first and second main amplifiers(260,262). The donor BPF(210) and the service BPF(212) pass only necessary bands from their respective received signals. The circulators(220,222) respectively receive signals from the donor BPF(210) and the service BPF(212) and transmit them. The limiters(230,232) respectively remove high signals from the signals received from the circulators(220,222). The LNAs(240,242) respectively eliminate noise components from the signals received from the limiters(230,232) and amplify signal components. The frequency converters(250,252) respectively convert the signals received from the LNAs(240,242) according to link direction characteristics. The main amplifiers(260,262) respectively amplify the signals received from the frequency converters(250,252) and transmit them to the RAS and the PSSs through the donor BPF(210) and the service BPF(212).
