摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent light leakage from an inclined portion present on the boundary between a transmissive display region and a reflective display region in an electro-optic device having the both regions. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optic device includes a pair of substrates 7a, 8a holding a liquid crystal layer 12 therebetween, a light reflecting film 32 applied on the substrate 8a, a color film 33 disposed between the substrate 7a and the light reflecting film 32, and a layer thickness controlling film 35 disposed on the substrate 8a. The electro-optic device has a plurality of sub-pixels D each having a reflective display region R where display is carried out by using reflected light L0 reflected by the light reflecting film 32, and a transmissive display region T where color display is carried out through the color film 33 by using light L1 transmitted through a region having no light reflecting film 32. The layer thickness controlling film 35 has an inclined portion S on the boundary between the transmissive display region T and the reflective display region R, and a blue color film 37 is disposed in a part corresponding to the inclined portion S and between the light reflecting film 32 and the substrate 7a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
