<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data sales system for performing assets management of the downloaded data and for certificating in writing that the data has been legitimately purchased. <P>SOLUTION: When receiving a selection of an extension function to be used, a complex machine 10 requests the estimate of download fee of a control program related to the selected function to a download management server 30, and after this, when receiving estimation data from the server 30, the machine 10 automatically prints an estimation sheet. When receiving a confirmation operation of order from a user on the basis of the estimation data, the machine 10 transmits order data to the server 30 and automatically prints an order sheet. Further, the machine 10 downloads the ordered control program, and when the download is completed, the server 30 transmits a license ID to the machine 10.
