<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create image data having good quality and high resolution by simple processing. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing unit 14 comprises: a pattern matching section 141 for determining whether the pixel array of a prescribed image region including a target pixel in binary image data coincides with each pixel array of a plurality of template data stored in a ROM11; and a resolution converter 142 for creating image data whose resolution is higher than that of the imaging data by using a pixel block composed of a prescribed number of pixels, based on the determination result. The output gradation value of the target pixel and the position information of an output pixel are set to respective template data. When it is determined that there are template data coinciding with the pixel array of the image region, the resolution converter 142 outputs the pixel block for reproducing the same gradation value as the output one, based on the output gradation value set to the coincident template data, and the position information of the output pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
