PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning method of a three-dimensional laser scanner capable of performing efficient data collection by reducing the number of moving times of the three-dimensional laser scanner, and reducing duplicated parts of data. SOLUTION: In this scanning method of the three-dimensional laser scanner for scanning a place where an inside measuring object 31 exists in an outside measuring object 11 or a place where a projection part falling a shadow on the surface of the measuring object itself by using the three-dimensional laser scanner, the measuring objects 11, 31 are scanned by using the installation position 51 of the three-dimensional laser scanner 1 as the origin P0, and a data-uncollected part 4 of the measuring object shadowed 32 by the inside measuring object 31 or the projection part is deduced based on the distance between adjacent points in point group data collected by scanning, and the next installation position of the three-dimensional laser scanner 1 is set on the furthermore data-uncollected part 4 side than the inside measuring object 31 or the projection part falling the shadow 32 between the origin P0 and the data-uncollected part 4.
