PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element material which can easily form a thin film and is suitably used as a luminescent material for organic electroluminescent elements, and to provide an organic electroluminescent element excellent in light-emitting properties and durability. SOLUTION: An Ir-containing part is copolymerized with a conjugated carbazole to thereby obtain an organic electroluminescent element material having good electron transport properties and positive hole transport properties, having excellent solubility in a solvent, and capable of easily forming a thin film.
