PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device of a delivery arm type sewing machine which permits a cost reduction by simplifying the structure. SOLUTION: The driving device of a delivery arm type sewing machine has a main shaft journaled on a horizontal arm extending diagonally with respect to a bed, a transmission shaft journaled on a bracket to fix the horizontal arm to a table and having a manual knob at the end, a driving motor arranged beside the table and an endless belt engaging with a pulley fixed to the transmission shaft and transmitting the rotation of a motor shaft to the main shaft. The pulley of the transmission shaft has a rim body having a first groove and a first inclined piece ranging to the first groove and formed toward the center of the transmission shaft, a support guide formed integrally with the rim body, and a second inclined piece arranged oppositely to the first inclined piece and slidably fixed to the support guide. The first groove and the second groove formed oppositely to the inclined pieces are engaged with separate endless belts, one endless belt is windingly mounted on the main shaft and the other endless belt is windingly mounted on a motor shaft.
