Production of a wool felt (I) from animal fiber material involves (a) laying wool fibers on a fabric or non-woven, the fibers of which are water-soluble at 40-90[deg]C; (b) pre-fixing and pre-shaping the loose fiber association using a wool felting needle or needle felting machine; (c) mechanically processing to produce (I), using a washing machine, fulling machine, tumbler or plate (or other) felting machine, or by hand; and (d) drying (I).
