A passive direction finding antenna system is provided to improve a reception sensitivity by controlling a length of an antenna to receive a half wavelength signal. A passive direction finding antenna system includes a frequency input unit(10), an antenna driving motor(30), a variable antenna(40), a receiver(50), a direction finding processor(60), an angle display(70), a controller, and a ray dome. The antenna driving motor is driven by a frequency which is inputted by the frequency input unit. A length of the variable antenna is varied by the antenna driving motor. The receiver receives information from the variable antenna. The direction finding processor processes the information from the receiver. The angle display outputs an output from the direction finding processor. The controller controls the antenna driving motor. The ray dome contains the variable antenna therein and is mounted on a vehicle.
