1,016,503. Moulding fibre pulp articles. D. F. EDNELL. Oct. 16, 1962 [Oct. 18, 1961], No. 39172/62. Heading B5A. In a method of manufacturing articles from a fibre pulp or slurry, wherein the pulp is deposited on a pervious surface 6 through which the pulping liquid, e.g. water, may drain away, the pervious surface is subjected to oscillating motions in one direction in a horizontal plane simultaneously with a swinging motion about a horizontal axis (at 17) parallel to the direction of motion of the horizontal oscillations. The pervious surface 6 is mounted in a vessel 1 to which compressed air may be admitted through an inlet 9. The oscillating and swinging motions are produced by discs 15, 18 and links 16, 19. The moulded article may be a conduit for molten metal. |
