FILTER AND PLASMA DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A filter and a plasma display device having the same are provided to decrease a double image by directly attaching the filter on the front side of a display panel and to reduce weight by using a thin base film. A filter(10) is composed of a black bead layer having a plurality of black beads(11b) and a black matrix layer having plural colored pattern units(71) disposed at the front or rear side of a space formed between the black beads. The black bead is contained in a transparent bead(11a) and positioned at a coating layer(12). The volume of the black bead is 3.0~80.0% of the outer volume of the transparent bead. The average diameter of the transparent bead is 3.0~30.0mum.
