<p>A gas-filled over-voltage diverter including at least two electrodes, with an insulator (2) between the electrodes (3,4), and an overload protection in the form of an external short- circuit device, the latter not axially extending beyond the diverter and designed as an electrically conducting yoke or loop (12). A retainer device for holding the ends of the yoke/loop (12) comprises an open ring (11) which snap-fits onto the insulator (2) and made of a strip of springy material, on one end of which is arranged the shorting loop (12).</p> |
