<p>A power tool air cooling system comprises a fan, an air inlet (1, fig. 1) and an air outlet (2, fig. 1), wherein one of the air inlet (1, fig. 1) and air outlet (2, fig 1) incorporates a waterproof filter 9 and the other incorporates an air-guiding plate 5 and an air-guiding cover 6 which together define a ventilation passage therebetween. Ends of the air-guiding plate 5 and cover 6 are curved and thus the open end of the ventilation passage is bent. Water, such as that used for cooling the cutting tool, is prevented from entering the power tool and reaching its motor through the filter 9 and also through the ventilation passage as a consequence of the bend therein. The figures show an electric circular saw comprising the air cooling system, with the waterproof filter 9 in the air inlet (1, fig. 1) and the bent ventilation passage at the air outlet (2, fig. 1).</p> |
