The system (15) has an upstream jack (7) and a downstream jack (8) arranged to be integrated to a bow (3) and a feed carriage (4) by sliding. The jacks are mounted to exert driving action of the bow and the carriage in series. A transfer platform is arranged to disintegrate the bow and the carriage from the jack (7) and integrate the carriage with the jack (8). The jacks have fingers arranged to co-operate with clutch devices of the carriage.
