The system has a coolant flowing through coolant circuit. The coolant comprises a mixture of carbon dioxide. The coolant circuit has an internal heat exchanger (4) and a compressor (2). The compensating reservoir (8) is arranged between the internal heat exchanger and a suction connection (9) of the compressor. The compensating reservoir is attached to a feeder line.
