A data transceiver apparatus and a method for controlling the same are provided to execute a receiving operation after the stabilization of Rx data by counting demodulation clocks of a demodulator and performing RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) judgment and address comparison for the Rx data when the counted number reaches a preset target count value. A data transceiver apparatus is comprised of a transceiver(14) and a control circuit(16). The transceiver transmits and receives desired Rx and Tx data through radio waves. The control circuit controls the transmission and reception of data, and carries out reception processing for Rx data. The transceiver comprises a judgment part(26). The judgment part, based on the RSSI of the Rx data, judges whether a receiving operation should be continued or stopped, and outputs a judgment result. The control circuit, receiving a judgment result, executes a control operation to stop the receiving operation when the judgment result indicates that the receiving operation should be stopped. Also the transceiver comprises a measuring part(34). The measuring part measures stabilization time until the Rx data are stabilized, and outputs a measurement result which indicates whether the Rx data are stable or unstable. The judgment part, if a measurement result which indicates that the Rx data are unstable is inputted, outputs a judgment result to indicate the stop of the receiving operation, regardless of the RSSI. |
