JIG APPARATUS FOR COATING THE CLEAVED FACET OF LASER DIODE AND SPACER STRUCTURE THEREFOR

A jig apparatus for coating a cleaved facet of a laser diode and a spacer structure thereof are provided to prevent the cleaved facet of the laser diode from being physically contacted to a supporting bottom by forming the spacer structure with a depressed groove in a bottom unit. A jig apparatus for coating a cleaved facet of a laser diode includes a holder(100) where a laser diode chip bar(1) is mounted, a plurality of spacer blocks(106) providing a receiving space(107) for standing the laser diode chip bar(1), and a transferring device(113) reciprocating between the holder(100) and the spacer blocks(106) to supply the laser diode chip bar(1) mounted on the holder(100) to the spacer blocks(106). The holder(100) having the laser diode chip bar(1) for coating the cleaved facet includes an inclined unit(101) for obliquely supporting one surface of the laser diode chip bar(1) and a trench(102) having an edge for hanging a lower end of the laser diode chip bar(1).
