A lesion assessment method by pacing is provided to reduce the danger of excessive ablation by allowing a doctor to know the time to stop the ablation through the loss of capture of a pacing signal in a predetermined maximum voltage. A lesion assessment method by pacing includes the steps of: inserting a catheter into the heart(48); locating a distal tip on a target part by using a location indication provided by a display so as to operate the catheter in the ventricle(50); operating a pacing generator and increasing a pacing voltage until a packing signal is captured(52); operating a wireless frequency power and ablating tissues in the target part(54); expecting that lesion is formed on the wall of the heart(56); determining whether time out is generated(58); if the determination is negative, increasing the pacing voltage(62); determining whether the pacing signal is re-captured as a result of increase of intensity of the pacing signal(64); if the determination is negative, determining whether a predetermined maximum level is reached(66); and if the determination is positive, determining that the generated lesion is sufficient and finishing a treatment(68).
|
