The invention relates to a charge regulation assembly (30) and to a method for charging a battery (13). A DC/DC transformer (14) and an in-phase regulator (24) provide partial currents (I1, I2). A control unit (15) controls the DC/DC transformer (14) and the in-phase regulator (24) in accordance with the actual charge content (I) of the battery. The suggested concept reduces the power loss for a smaller chip surface, thus increasing the life cycle of the battery to be charged (13). The concept is particularly suitable, for example, for use in mobile radio devices. |
