A method for treating livestock waste is provided to produce an organic fertilizer and remove an odor, by efficiently fermenting the livestock waste using simple equipment and treating materials. Livestock waste of slurry type, which is accumulated within a stall, is transferred to and stored in a storage tank(10). The livestock waste is fermented within the stall by using a gourd-shaped body(1) for growing plural microorganisms. The gourd-shaped body is hung within the storage tank. Rice straw permeated by dispersed molasses fills the guard-shaped body. External particles are removed from the fermented livestock waste by using a filter unit. The resultant livestock waste is sprayed on general crops or a golf course. |
