The vehicle is fitted with an automatic transmission unit (4) operated with a lever moved along a single switch track (1) and two push buttons located at the steering wheel (2) for switching to the manual mode and back if required. Both modes (1, 2) are controlled by an electronic device (3). When the driver changes into the manual mode the duration is surveyed by the control device (3) and if no other acceleration process is performed within a preprogrammed interval the gears are selected automatically again. |
